“I am in competition with no one. The only competition that I am in is against myself and my unrealized potential. When I look in the mirror, I am my only opponent.” Uncle Paul

“I am in competition with no one. The only competition that I am in is against myself and my unrealized potential. When I look in the mirror, I am my only opponent.” Uncle Paul
“Life sucks at times, and we must accept that that is part of life’s process. We need to understand that challenges come to grow us. So, instead of complaining and trying to avoid life’s challenges, lean into the suck. After all, it is going to help you grow.” Uncle Paul
“Am I the problem? If so, ask yourself what part did I play in it and what can I do to fix it? Stop looking on the outside for the answer, for the answer lies within.” Uncle Paul
Uncle Paul
“When life struggles leave us feeling overwhelmed, and it fogs up our brains and prevents us from seeing things clearly. Remember this, feeling overwhelmed is a conscious choice we make each day. “ Uncle Paul
“learn to honor the hard lessons that life taught me. I had to courageously share my story and victory over colon cancer and prostate cancer. I had to learn how to respond to the little shockwaves that kept showing up in my life. I experienced the storms, fires, and hurricanes of life and through the conflicts of life, I was able to grow, and for that I am thankful. I had to learn to see my way through the smoke after the fires of life were extinguished. Yes, I had some storms on the sea of life, but each time a storm hit, I was able to adjust my sail and continue the journey.” Uncle Paul
“Life is full of so many unexpected events, so when an unforeseen situation arises, rather than struggle and fight, take the time to think about what you can control. You can't prevent a storm from coming, but you can control how you respond to the storm. Focus on what we can control and let go of the rest. When you stay focused on what you can change, you will be able to conquer any roadblock in your path.”
“If we are to overcome the roadblock of life, we must stop making excuses and start taking the steps that are necessary to get what we want out of life. It is time to drop the excuses and stop living with the failed expectations that we already had for ourselves and destroy the roadblock that stand before us.” Uncle Paul
“If we are to overcome the roadblock of life, we must see our obstacles as challenges. Where others see roadblocks as barriers, we must see them as life challenges, and if we are to overcome them, we must embrace them.” Uncle Paul
“If we are to overcome our roadblocks, we have to do something. We just can’t sit in the car and think you are going somewhere. We need to start the car, put it in drive and then press the gas pedal and floor it. We have to take action.” Uncle Paul
“Understand that there will be some bumps in the road of life. Life has a lot of twists and turns, and we should not get upset when we hit a bump, or when we fall into the potholes of life, on our journey. We are going to experience ups and downs, twists and turns, detours and trials along the way; it is all a part of life.” Uncle Paul
“You don't know my real story. You don’t really know me. Why? Because we only show you the person you want to see and not the person that they really are. With most of us, it was more about us wanting someone to be the right person, than actually taking the time to see who they really were. We don’t understand anything until we’re able to unearth our truths, and those aspects of our souls that we wished didn’t exist.” Uncle Paul
“All life is asking us to do, is the best we can, with what we have. We must do the best we can, where we are, until I can do better. Once we know better, we can do better.”
“When you are playing the card game of life, sometimes you have to know when to hold them and know when to fold them. Quitting is not always a bad thing.” Uncle Paul
“Some people send their lives talking about what they want in life and what they are going to do in life. For years, they have been singing the same old song. Blah blah blah. The question that one must ask themselves is, how bad do you want it? The answer is simply this; you don’t want it bad enough. Because if you wanted it bad enough, you would already have it.”
“Obstacles don’t have to stop us if we run into a wall, don’t turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, how to go through it, or work around it.” Uncle Paul
“To get the results we want, we have to ditch the excuses that are invalidating our calling and our purpose. We must stop excusing our failures and start taking the steps that are necessary to get what you want out of life. Look, new opportunities lie hidden around every corner. However, we will never find them if our minds are riddled with never-ending excuses. Without a doubt, we will all encounter many obstacles on our journey. That’s a given. We can overcome our obstacles or make excuses; it’s as simple as that.” Uncle Paul
“Instead of trying to change people, we can either accept people for who they are, or we can choose to live our lives without them. Remember this, you can love people, but you can’t change people.” Uncle Paul
“Everyone has an opinion on what we should be doing with our lives. But the truth is, it’s your life, and you should do what you want. It’s your life, live it, love it, celebrate it, lie every moment.” Uncle Paul
“One will never be truly happy until they first love themselves. When you practice self-love and self-respect, you give yourself the opportunity to be happy. When you are happy, you will stop putting everyone else’s needs first and take time for yourself. When you are happy, you will make yourself, your highest priority.” Uncle Paul
