Sometimes people think they know your stories, but the truth is, they don’t know our stories unless we tell them. You see, underneath those shiny parts that we let you see, there is the reality of who we are. It is in our hidden part that our fears, our mistakes, our complications, and our beliefs are hidden. That hidden place lets us know that we are we are human. That none of us is flawless; that we are a raw beauty and perhaps just a little messy at the same time.
It is in that hidden place, where our true selves come out. It is in our hidden places that our true authenticity beats. It is in our hidden place that we find what really defines who we are. It is in our hidden place that we unearth a new level of vulnerability that would have never been found if the walls that were protecting who we really are, did not come crashing down.
You don't know my real story. You don’t really know me. Why? Because we only show you the person you want to see and not the person that they really are. With most of us, it was more about us wanting someone to be the right person, than actually taking the time to see who they really were. We don’t understand anything until we’re able to unearth our truths, and those aspects of our souls that we wished didn’t exist.
