Day Twenty-Three: 40-Day Journey of Gratitude

"We must always remember that we did not get to where we are today, without the sacrifice of so many people. We sometimes forget that the seat that we take in the front of the bus came with a price. That jobs we have today came on the backs of clerks, janitors, maids and nannies, who all knew that one day, we would sit in a seat that they couldn't. So, I say thank you to my heroes."

Day Fifteen: 40-Day Journey of Gratitude (Part 2)

"Now is the time to forgive the ones that have hurt us and to forgive ourselves. If we continue to hold on to unforgiveness, we will continue to be locked up in our mental prison. You see, forgiveness says to the one that hurt us, I'm beyond your reach now. You no longer control my life. I will no longer allow you to deplete my energy. I choose to unlock the mental prison door that I have been locked behind. I declare and decree that my prison doors are now open, I reclaim my power, and I now give you to God, and I will never look back. If Jesus could forgive the very men nailing him to the cross, I guess, I can forgive you.  You are forgiven, and I am now free. I now give myself permission to celebrate, my new-found freedom. Let go, forgive and be free." Uncle Paul

Day Ten: 40-Day Journey of Gratitude

"

One of the hardest things in life is to find the strength to shine again, in the face of our public failures.  We are all a work in progress, and maybe we should change the way we look at our failures. Just maybe we should see them as a life turning point because each of our failures has helped us evolve into the people we are today. So, today I am truly thankful for every one of my failures, and you should be too."

Day Nine: 40-Day Journey of Gratitude

"Every challenge in my life, has become a classroom, that has taught me some of life's most profound lessons. My life's challenges have taught me, that I can endure very difficult challenges with a certain degree of confidence, knowing that I've been tested before, and I passed my test with flying colors. You see, before life's trials, I didn't know my own strength. I now know the I can and will overcome my next life challenge. So, I drop to my knees and thank God for the opportunities that I have been afforded to learn at the feet of life's challenges." Uncle Paul

Create Your Own Path

Don’t be afraid to go into uncharted territory. Don’t be scared to go places where people have never been before. People may not understand where you are trying to go, but don’t let that distract you. Just keep walking. Just keep creating. Just keep being you. A designer original.
Uncle Paul

Let the past go and begin to flourish.

If we are honest with ourselves, we have all planted tomato seeds that will never grow. At some point in your lives, we decided to get up every morning and go water a job that will never produce. At some point in our lives, we chose to get up every morning and water a relationship that will never grow. If we are to move on, with our lives, we must invest in our own lives. We must let go of the past, past hurts, insecurities, and fears. We must stop confusing imagination with reality. We must challenge our fears and imaginings rather than just accepting them. We must, focuses on our future and how the decisions that we are making today will create our future. Let the past go and begin to flourish.

Just Keep Walking

One of life’s hard lessons to learn is that sometimes you have to travel your journey alone. We all have to shoulder the burden of our dreams alone. No one can do it for us, it is our walk, and we must walk it. Sometimes alone, sometimes afraid, sometimes with reservations, but in the end, we must just keep walking.

"The only thing that is holding you back from doing something great is you. If you want to do something great, there comes a time that you must stop just talking about it and do it already."

Uncle Paul

Your life won’t change unless you create the change. Stop waiting for other’s approval and take charge of our life now. If you’re discontent with your present state, do something different, step outside of your safety zone. And, once you step out of your comfort zone; your life will radically change for the better.

Remember this, if you want to move forward in your life, you have to pick up your feet and get to moving.  Forward march!!!

Listen-Be Patient-Love

As we walk our journey through life, there are three things that we must master as we embark upon the trip. First, we must learn to be quiet for a minute and listen to ourselves, listen to others and hear what the Spirit has to say. Secondly, we must learn to be patient with ourselves, patient with others and patient with our creator. Finally, we must learn to love ourselves, to love others and to love the one that created us. If we can master these three things, then we can master life.  It’s just a thought. Paul Steven Smith (Uncle Paul) www.unclepaulsthoughts.com

Take Charge of Your Life Now...

Everything in life begins with a decision; you must decide now to be in charge of your life and your reality. Because if you don’t, there are plenty of folks who will try to shape your perception for you. Don’t trust them to have your best interest in mind. Remember this; it’s your life, take charge of it now. It’s just a thought. Paul Steven Smith (Uncle Paul) www.unclepaulsthoughts.com

So, when life throws you the unexpected, don’t run, don’t cry, don’t grumble, but smile, because there is power in the smile.  When I look in the mirror, and I see a smile on my face, it gives me an inner peace in the depths of my soul, and the strength to say, I can and will overcome this challenge.
