Day Twenty-Three: 40-Day Journey of Gratitude

Day Twenty-Three: 40-Day Journey of Gratitude

Today I am thankful for all the nameless heroes that have been a part of my life. They did what they had to do, some things out of passion and some out of necessity.  They sacrificed and fought tirelessly for something you don't even think about at this moment. They gave so much of their lives to improve our lives. So, today I want to say thank you to all the heroes that have helped change the world so that I can live a better life. For those that gave their freedom so that I could one day be free. For those that endured the pain, the hurt, the racism, while still keeping hope alive.  We should always be thankful for those that gave so much, even though we may never know their names. Thank you.

Uncle Paul's Thought: We must always remember that we did not get to where we are today, without the sacrifice of so many people. We sometimes forget that the seat that we take in the front of the bus came with a price. That jobs we have today came on the backs of clerks, janitors, maids and nannies, who all knew that one day, we would sit in a seat that they couldn't. So, I say thank you to my heroes.
