Listen-Be Patient-Love

As we embark upon our journey of life, there are three things that we must master to be successful.

First, we must learn to be quiet for a minute and listen to ourselves, listen to others and listen to what the Spirit has to say. One cannot learn if all they do is talk, there is a lesson, in the quiet time of life, if we can be still and not being afraid of silence.

Secondly, we must learn to be patient with ourselves, patient with others and patient with our creator. Look, God is fully aware that you and I are not perfect, and that we are a work in progress. We must be patient, with our weakness and the weakness of others and we must keep working to turn that weakness into strengths. Our journey toward perfection is long, but we must learn to celebrate the tiniest steps in that journey and trust the one that created the steps, for He is patient, and we must be patient also.

Finally, we must learn to love ourselves, to love others and to accept the love that the one that created us is offering. If we are to love ourselves and others, we must accept ourselves and other. We must embrace each other’s quirky personalities and imperfections. We must remember that although we are not where we need to be, we are making progress. Yes, we have weaknesses and imperfections, we don't have to reject ourselves and others because of them. The creator loves His creation, and He wants us to love ourselves, to love others, and to embrace the love that He is offering us.
