You Don’t Owe That Debt

“We don’t know what the future hold, but this one thing we do know, rehashing the pain of the past will never allow us to live in the now. So, accept the uncertainty of the future, release yourself from the past and begin to live in the now. Holding on to our past is like repeatedly paying a debt that we do not owe.”

You were built to last.

The next time you are faced with a challenge, consider the fact that you have been built for a purpose. You are strong and durable. Trouble will come, there will be rains, there will be floods, and there will be storms. But, it is up to you to stand firm in the midst of the storms or to cave in and give up. God knows your limits, and the truth is, that you are well equipped to stand, even when the winds are blowing. That is why you cannot throw in the towel because you were built with the future in mind. Troubles will come, they may try to keep you under, but you will always rise above it. You will not be broken; you are built to outlast your troubles. You were built to last.”

“Life’s journey, is filled with countless lessons, but if we are to learn and apply those lessons, we must be willing to step outside of our comfort zones and live in the present moment. When we step out of our comfort zone, we’re taking a risk, and opening ourselves up to the possibility of stress and anxiety, but we are also opening ourselves, to a new and challenging task. We must be willing to take risks; we must be willing to step outside of our comfort zone and into the discomfort zone and face our uncertainties and reap the benefits and the rewards.” Uncle Paul

Anything Is Possible If You Are Willing To Pay The Price

“If you want to accomplish little in life, then one must sacrifice little. If you're going to achieve much, you must sacrifice much. You have to be willing to pay the price and put in the hard work to accomplish your goals. Nothing in life is free; there is a price that has to be paid. The question that we must all ask ourselves is this, how bad do you want it and how much are you willing to pay? Once you answer those two questions, you are now ready to move forward.” Uncle Paul

Sometimes We Just Got To Go With It

When things don’t go our way, just go with the flow. Plan are always changing, that’s what they do. When you face the now, you can adjust and go with the flow. Live in the now and remember this, the events that are happening in your life, are not to you but are for you, so, just go with the flow.” Uncle Paul

You Are Stronger Than You Think You Are

“Today, I want you to know that you’re stronger than you think. Yes, I’m talking to you. You are stronger than you might think, you are. So, when you are having a bad day, or a bad week, or a bad month, and you feel like your world is closing in on you. The bottom line is, we need to stop for a moment, dig deep, and find the strength that we did not know we had. We are all survivors. We have all overcome. We have all gotten stronger, braver and wiser from the struggles we have endured. We might get knocked down, but we always find the strength to get back up again and to continue to fight the battle that has been set before us. We have proven to ourselves, time and time again that our spirit is stronger than anything that could threaten to break it.” Uncle Paul

You Can Handle This

“Everything that happens to us, happens for a reason. Sometimes, giants come into our lives so that we can become stronger. They come to let us know that we have a fight in us that is yet to be uncovered and that this process that we are going through, right now is helping us uncover that strength. Not everybody can handle what you are going through right now; it is your destiny to fight the fight that you are fighting right now. Why? Because you can handle it; God will never put more on you than you can handle. Be bold and don’t be afraid, you got this.” Uncle Paul

Every lesson has a price to pay.

“Life is full of learning lessons, and each lesson comes with a price. We must take the opportunity to learn from each life lesson, and once we learn from that lesson, we must be prepared to move on to the next lesson. Some life lessons are a blessing in disguise; sometimes we don’t realize the blessing in the lesson until sometimes later. But when you learn the lesson, you will under the price that you had to pay.” Uncle Paul

People come, and people go and that is okay.

“Everyone that’s been in your life has been there for a reason if they want to go, let them go. Don’t take it personally. Stop chasing relationships and stop running after people. Remember this, not everyone that you lose is a loss. Some people are a part of your history, but not a part of your destiny.” Uncle Paul

It's Your Life, Live It.

“Change comes from within and what you choose not to do can be just as important as what you choose to do. This is your life. This is your destiny. You have the power to reinvent yourself. You have the strength to live the life of your dreams. You have the power to achieve your destiny. You have the power to start using your voice and to redefine your life. You have the power to stop defining your life by your failures and your mistakes. You have the power to choose the direction you want your life to take. It’s your life live it.” Uncle Paul

Here we go again, another one of those days.

“Have you ever felt like every day has been a downward spiral? That your tomorrows seemed like it was just going to be another extension of the bad day you had on yesterday. You woke up with good intentions on your mind, and when your feet hit the floor, you realized that it was just going to be another one of those days. How did a toe stomp, mess up our whole day? Because we focused on it, we held on to it. We kept dwelling on it. Yes, it could be one of those days. But it doesn’t have to be. We have the power to interrupt the thought pattern. We have the ability not to let one bad moment, turn into a bad day. We must redirect our attention and interrupt those negative thoughts and feelings as they arise. A bad moment does not have to become a bad day. It is up to you to come to the awareness, that, that moment has passed, that it is over and done with, that the rest of the day will bring with it, plenty of opportunities for a good day. All we have to do is be open to them.” Uncle Paul

Take A Chance

When life come and knock us down, we gotta keep getting up. We gotta keep working hard. Life has taught me, that it’s not about how hard we get hit, but it’s how hard of a hit we can take and still get back up. We can no longer settle for the status quo; we’ve gotta stop settling for a life that is less than the one that we are capable of living. Take a chance even if it means that you will have to lose it all in the end. For it is better to take a chance than always to wonder, what could have happened if you had just taken a chance.” Uncle Paul

Celebrate the Small Victories

“Don’t wait until we’ve reached our goals to celebrate. It is the little victories that happen along the way, that reaffirms our commitment to the process. We must rejoice when we accomplish what seems like even a small victory, and we must learn to cherish the process on the way to our big victories. Someone once said, that our victories are won not in miles but in inches. Win a little now, hold your ground, and win a little more later. Don’t wait for “someday” to celebrate, celebrate the small victories along the way and be happy now.”

Push through it.

“Thought: Don’t let life’s stress fractures, challenges and disappointments cast a shadow on tomorrow's dreams. We will face challenges, but we must push through them. It’s going to be painful, but we must push as hard as we can, to get to the other side of the pain. For it is on the other side of the pain, that we will find out, that all the pain was all worth it. Push through it.” Uncle Paul

Life Moves When You Move.

“We are tent people, we were never designed to stand still. We were created to always be on the move. At any given moment we can pull up our stakes, fold up our tents and move to life’s next destination. Life moves when you move. Life stands still when you stand still.“ Uncle Paul

Stop Taking Things So Serious

“We are taking life just to serious. Sometimes, you just have to get on the elevator and rip one and look around at everyone else, like they just did it. Then get off the elevator and laugh until tears come down your face. Cut yourself some slack and just enjoy the journey.” Uncle Paul
