Sometimes in life, we go through some valley experiences, that leaves us worn out and feeling like we want to give up. It is doing those periods that we must learn how to stay still in the midst of the turbulence; even when our roof has been blown away, and the rain is pouring down into our sacred space. You see, our present trouble is not going to kill us. We were built to last. We are able to handle the storms of life. So, cheer up. It is time for us to learn a new song and quit singing the same old sad songs. Look, we may be shaken, but we cannot be destroyed. Why, because we are built to last?
Uncle Pau’s Thought: The next time you are faced with a challenge, consider the fact that you have been built for a purpose. You are strong and durable. Trouble will come, there will be rains, there will be floods, and there will be storms. But, it is up to you to stand firm in the midst of the storms or to cave in and give up. God knows your limits, and the truth is, that you are well equipped to stand, even when the winds are blowing. That is why you cannot throw in the towel because you were built with the future in mind. Troubles will come, they may try to keep you under, but you will always rise above it. You will not be broken; you are built to outlast your troubles. You were built to last.
