If you are to move forward in your life, you must be prepared to let some toxic people go. Toxic people will drain your energy, discourage you, they get into your head, they weigh heavily on your heart, and they will drag you down with them. If we take an honest assessment of our lives, more often than not, we all have a few toxic people who are always the root of most of our problems.
There comes a time when we must take a look around and remove those that are holding us back from reaching our full potential. You can’t pretend toxic behavior away or love it away; you can’t avoid it or ignore it because it is impacting your life and not for the good. You see, you will never reach greatness until you surround yourself with the right people. Choosing to exclude a person or experience from your life can be the most compassionate choice one can make for themselves. Making this choice is not something that your mind can decide or force, listen to your heart, for it will indeed guide you.
Uncle Paul’s Thought: Walking away from a toxic relationship won’t be easy, but it is always okay. And it is always worth it. Deciding to not be with someone who is toxic is an act of honoring yourself and your truth. Follow your heart; if it is ready to embrace someone who has harmed you, it will open; and it will open without force. If not, walk away from it, keep moving forward and choose your own health and happiness over remaining in a relationship that you know is toxic.
