Are You Ready to Catch the Wind?

Are You Ready to Catch the Wind?

Have you ever felt like you are sitting in a boat going know where? I know I have certainly felt that way. There have been times when I just felt like; I just didn’t have enough wind to help build the momentum I needed to help push my boat.  It just felt like something was blocking the wind, and I was just drifting along. At that time, all I could hear is my mother voice, say be calmed and be patient.

We all face slow periods or down times in our lives. So, what do you do when the wind stops blowing on your sail.

1.     Don’t take down your sail.

So many people give up, just before the wind comes. If you give up, you will not be ready, to take advantage of the winds of opportunity when they blow. You see, this is the time that you must find your voice and work harder to accomplish your goals. You have to stick it out and not quit, for there is a strong and powerful gust of wind, just around the corner and it is just about ready, to push you to your next level. If you take down you sail now, you may never know what is in store for you. Don’t take down your sail.

2.     You have to be ready to catch the wind.

When the wind begins to blow again, you have to be ready to catch the wind. You see, success comes when preparation and opportunity collides. Without going through the preparation period, opportunities will be forfeited, lost, or will not amount to much. So, when opportunities come, we must be ready to make the best out of them.

So, when the wind is low, stay engaged, keep working, keep learning, stay productive, stay alert, refine your technique, make small adjustments and finally, make the most of it.

Opportunities will come, and if you want to catch the wind, you’ve got to put out your sail again. You must keep your sail up and always be ready to catch the wind. Don’t take down your sails, for the wind will blow again. Here is the thought. When the wind blows again, will you be ready to catch the wind? Remember this perpetration is everything. – It’s Just A Thought – Paul Steven Smith (Uncle Paul)
