We all owe it to ourselves, to love ourselves with an equal measure of love, that we give others. We owe it to ourselves to give ourselves, the same measure of compassion that we share with other. Sometimes it seems easier to love others than it does to love ourselves. But, learning to love ourselves take just as much work, as learning love others. Just like any relationship, it takes work, practice, and patience, and you can learn to love yourself, you just have to do the work.
When you learn to love yourself, you will no longer tolerate certain behavior from others. When you learn to love yourself, you seek others approval less. When you learn to love yourself, your friendships will be less lopsided. When you learn to love yourself, you’ll believe you deserve more, better and different. Make loving yourself a priority, because it is.
Uncle Paul’s Thought: How can one say they love their neighbor, when they don’t first love themselves? Before investing in someone else’s life, you probably should work on yours a little, first. Love yourself, before loving someone else. It’s okay to take care of you first. Stop trying to save the world and save yourself first.
It’s Just A Thought
