We often spend a lifetime trying to be what we think we should be and conforming to the way people expect us to be. We spend far too much energy and invest too much time trying to conform to what society tells us we should be. Trying to fit in. Trying to be what everybody else wants us to be. Trying to please people who don’t even matter. Life is really simple, but we keep adding layers of complexity that we don’t need. It’s like we’re trying to be someone else. Like we are trying to live someone else’s life. We have been faking it so long, that you don’t even know who you really are. At some point, we must ask ourselves who am I? Will the real you, please stand up? It is time to reacquaint you with you. It’s time to start getting to know who we are again and what your values are so that you can shed the extra layers and live on your own terms. Life is simple, especially when we are living on your own terms, meeting your own expectations, rather than try to satisfy everyone else. Try something new today, just be you.
