In spite of all of your life challenges, you must ask yourself the question. What could I be grateful for? Look, I have come to realize that every day won’t be perfect, but when I focus on what I am grateful for, it tends to wash away my feelings of anxiety, and negativity. It changes my attitude, my mindset, and it makes me smile in the midst of my pain. Why? Because no matter what I am going through, I still have a lot to be thankful for.
You see, I live in comfortable homes, I wear nice clothes, and I have reliable transportation. I have clean water, I have food on my table, I have health insurance, and basically, I live a pretty good life. Sometimes I take these wonderful blessings for granted—and sometimes I spend too much time focusing on what I don’t have until I am reminded, that millions of people around the world live without these basic necessities of life.
It is so easy to forget how blessed we are! We must learn to have an attitude of gratitude, in all of our life situations. Notice I did not say for everything but in everything. Each moment that we are given this precious gift of life we must choose to have a thankful attitude and live each moment full of love and happiness.
While there are some things wrong in our lives, there are many things that are right. We must refuse to remain in the realm of negative thought and cultivate within our hearts an attitude of gratitude.
So, in the middle of life’s conflicts, whether great or small, we must count our many blessings. We must reflect upon our individual lives, and when we do, we soon discover that we have much to be thankful for.
Remember this, no matter what we are going through, there is always something to be thankful for.
