A few days ago, I was sitting at my desk at work and tears came to my eyes. I realized that the work that I am doing is not what I was put here on earth to do. I even allowed the thought of getting up and walking out, never to return, to run around in my head.

Just then, I began to come to myself.  Realized first, that I am not in a financial position to just get up and walk out. Secondly, I have other people depending on me, and it would be irresponsible for me to do so.  Thirdly, I have a commitment to my now, and I must see it through.

I heard a voice in my head say, if you desire to be someplace other than where you are right now, you are not fully engaged in the here and now. You are missing out on being the best you, you can be, right here and right now.

You see, it is not wrong to set goals, to have dreams of life taking you to other places, new careers, new businesses and new opportunities. But what matters the most, is that we are fully committed to the now, to the present. For everything that will ever be is right now, for tomorrow is not promised. We must live in now, the today, because what matters the most is, what we do right now, for it will dictate what happens next in our lives.
