Uncle Paul's Thoughts

Nobody knows the trouble I've seen

The late great, Mahalia Jackson used to sing a song called, Nobody knows the trouble I've seen.

The lyrics went something like this:

Nobody knows the trouble I've seen

Nobody knows my sorrow

Yes, nobody knows the trouble I've seen

But glory, Hallelujah.

I thought about that song today. You see, we never really know what people are going through in their lives. We never know who is teetering around their breaking point. We never know, who is on the edge a cliff and ready to jump off.

But what we know is that at times life can be challenging. But, we also know that life can be beautiful. We know that life often comes with trouble. But, we also know that trouble doesn't last always.

I guess why the last verse of the song says “But glory, Hallelujah.” Because even though we go through, challenges, pain, hurt and disappointments, we still have something to be thankful for, GLORY HALLELUJAH.

It’s just a thought
