Failure Is A Mind Thing...

Failure Is A Mind Thing

Have you ever wanted to do something in your life but you were afraid of failure?  All of us at one point or another did not move forward with our plans because we were afraid of failure. Let’s be honest with ourselves; no one likes to fail.  None of us likes to feel like we are unsuccessful, defenseless or lacking in any way, and that is how failure makes us feel.

In any case, you might be shocked to realize that failure only exists in your head.  Failure does not exist, until you say it does. On the off chance that you believed you failed, then guess what, you have. If you believe that you don't have the ability to succeed, then guess what, you won’t. If you believe that you can’t handle the pressure of accomplishing your objectives, then guess what, you can't. If you believe you are a failure, then guess what, you are. Remember this failure only exist in your mind. The minute you choose to surrender or quit moving in the direction of your goals, failure is birth.

Look, the fear of failure can mess with your head.  When you feel as though you have failed, you begin to feel down on yourself. You begin to feel embarrassed, and you beat yourself up, you compare yourself to others, and it can be debilitating.  The sooner you come to the realization that none of these lies are true, the better off you will be. You are just working outside of your comfort zone, and it takes time to adjust.

When life tells you, that you can’t possibly do what needs to be done to be successful, don’t fret it. Failure is not the worst outcome, not trying, is far worse. You see, you have to push yourself. You have to inspire yourself. You must be willing to fail forward.  Look at it this way, if you try something and fail, you’ve learned a lesson, you now have some priceless practice, and next time you’ll be one step closer to your goal.  But if you don’t even try, out of pure fear, you have learned nothing, and you will continue to find yourself stuck in the old habit of running from fear.

Life is short. Put resources into exercises that propel you forward you. Continue working toward your goals, one step at a time, for as long as it takes. Sometimes you work towards a goal, and you don’t see progress, that does not make you a failure. Never give up on yourself. Never quit, never consider conceding to disappointment, and failures. Never lose your inward determination. Never get hooked on a specific timeframe for reaching your goals, but always be aware that some circumstances are beyond your control.

Finally, make sure that you don't see obstacles and difficulties as disappointments. Obstacle, setback or delay means only one thing; it's not the time for your objectives to be completed. Nothing more, nothing less. It doesn't mean you failed; it doesn't mean you're weak; it doesn't mean you'll never see your accomplishments achieved. It basically means you are not done with your assignment yet. You must continue moving forward and discovering a route around your obstacles. You must continue to focus on making progress, moving forward, taking one step at a time and not so much on reaching the finish line. Failure is a mind thing.
